A Victorious Generation

August 2021

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” Psalm 127:3

Through a personal experience, the Lord showed a type of new birth––a powerful generation arising. It happened on my daughter's birthday. We have a tradition in our family of waking the boy/girl up on the morning of the anniversary of their birth as we hold a treat with a candle burning and sing the Happy Birthday song. We make sure to snap pictures of those sleepy faces as they wake up a whole year older.

I always love waking my children up on their birthday, but this one was different. We did our normal routine as a family and snuck into her room to capture the birthday photo and sing as she turned a freshly new year older. We began singing but she wasn’t there. We looked to find her coming out of her closet. She was not sleeping in her bed, but in her prayer closet. She was spending her first birthday moments locked away with Jesus. He was the one singing over her. At first I was saddened that I didn’t get to be the one to wake her on the first day of her new year or be the first to celebrate and tell her happy birthday, but then joyful tears flooded my eyes.

“The Lord your God is with you. He is a hero who saves you. He happily rejoices over you, renews you with His love, and celebrates over you with shouts of joy.” Zephaniah 3:17

How many teenagers want to wake up early on their day off and spend their first birthday moments alone with Jesus, hidden away in their prayer closets? Actually, she wasn’t very happy we disturbed her time with the Lord which melted my heart even more. As I looked into her eyes I saw that Victorie had found the love of her life and had fallen madly in love with Jesus. She has found her own personal and intimate relationship with Him.

She openly talks about how God is all she needs and she lives it daily. She is hard-core dedicated to spending time in prayer, locked away with Him, and reading her Bible daily. You can tell it’s not a routine for her, but a desire to get to know the Man she loves so well. She has wisdom beyond her years as she is being taught in the secret place with the Lord. She has seen the value of spending time with Him and her fruit that is produced through her devotion is evident. She is witnessing the power of the Holy Spirit as she is consumed by Him. I see the love in her eyes for Him and know she has indeed met the love of her life. He is the One she wants to sing over her when she rises and when she falls asleep. I am so happy that she chooses Jesus above all else, is lovesick for Him, and longs for Him to sing over her.

“O God of my life, I’m lovesick for you in this weary wilderness. I thirst with the deepest longings to love you more, with cravings in my heart that can’t be described. Such yearning grips my soul for you, my God! I’m energized every time I enter your heavenly sanctuary to seek more of your power and drink in more of your glory. For your tender mercies mean more to me than life itself. How I love and praise you, God! Daily I will worship you passionately and with all my heart. My arms will wave to you like banners of praise.” Psalm 63:1-4

As Victorie was emerging from her closet on the anniversary of her birth, the Lord spoke to me and showed me the next generation—the remnant arising and coming out of hiding. I saw they had been hidden but will now be stepping out “for such a time as this.” They are lovesick Jesus addicts like we have yet to see. These young children and teens arising hold God’s complete victory and solid truth in their hands. They are a powerful bunch arising!

“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

“So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace.” Romans 11:5

The ones bursting forth have grasped the truth of who Jesus truly is and are gathering much oil and revelation in the secret place with Him. They are filling up and will now begin to pour out—a force to be reckoned with. The Holy Spirit is teaching them in the private times with Him, locked away in prayer. They are learning straight from the Father’s heart and will far surpass anything we have ever seen.

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2

For those who have been criticizing, judging, or badmouthing the younger generations, you better watch out. Those who see our future generations as lost and hopeless, get ready. These lovesick youngins are about to blast off and they will be unstoppable. They are carriers of God’s glory and end time power. Wait until you see them rise—they are beautiful. Their fruit is large and lush. They are so in love with Jesus that His face is all they seek. They will shine with His magnificent beauty and eternal power. They are coming out of the closet per say. It is now their birthday and they will begin to emerge out of the dark and hidden places.

“You have said, ‘Seek my face.’ My heart says to you, ‘Your face, Lord, do I seek.’” Psalm 27:8

They will not look like the ones you are expecting to be the end time warriors, but they are far more powerful for the Kingdom than you have ever dreamed. They are coming out! They are arising in power and you will not want to dismiss them, overlook them, or stifle them. They will not look the part or be the age you feel comfortable with, but they are full of God’s presence and power. Watch and see! The new generation of world changers are arising in victory!

It only takes a few lovesick Jesus lovers to shake an entire nation. God only needs a few willing vessels that are passionate enough to say “Yes” to the call, spend the time locked away with Him, and obey as they follow His voice. Will you be one? Arise in victory!

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57

“In that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no more lean on him who struck them, but will lean on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.” Isaiah 10:20

“In that day the Lord of hosts will be a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of his people.” Isaiah 28:5

“How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.” Psalm 36:7

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” Isaiah 60:1
