Coming Out of Hibernation

“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you” Isaiah 66:13 ESV

As a pregnant mother gets ready for the arrival of her unborn child or like a bear coming out of hibernation after a long winter's nap, so many are preparing and getting ready for the coming wave that is being birthed by the Holy Spirit. As a mother prepares and makes room in her world for the coming collision of new life, she goes through a process. Not only is her body going through a massive transition, but her mind, soul, and spirit are also being transformed.

“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: ‘I am the Lord, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by Myself.’” Isaiah 44:24 ESV

The Lord, who alone stretched out the Heavens, supernaturally gives a pregnant mother instant instincts to protect and care for the life growing inside her womb. She suddenly has a fierceness about her; a sudden craving to cover and protect the life she has been given. As the time to give birth comes closer, the urge to care and protect intensifies. Once the child is born and grows, the motherly protectiveness transforms into full blown “Mama Bear” mode.

“[The Lord answered] ‘Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.’” Isaiah 49:15 AMP

Have you ever seen a video of another animal trying to attack a baby cub? The mama lioness attacks fiercely to protect her baby. Most healthy God-fearing women know this feeling that is placed inside them. It is placed inside of women for a specific reason—to protect what God is birthing, growing, and producing. Since women are the only entry point for human life into this earth by their womb, it is now time that women identify this instinct that the Lord has placed in them and recognize that it is not only for earthly purposes, but for spiritual and supernatural means.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.” Proverbs 31:25-26 NLT

In some Christian theologies, the Holy Spirit is associated as a motherly figure because He was sent to be an advocate, the comforter, guide, and helper. Just like a mother advocates for the well being of her child, comforts, guides, and helps her children grow, so the Holy Spirit does for all of God’s children. This is why women are so important in the body of Christ.

“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

John 14:26 NIV

Many women have a very keen sense of the Holy Spirit’s presence and have a deep knowing of what grieves His heart. This is why it is vital that women step up to the plate in this hour and rise. Women have a job to do in the body of Christ, in ministry, and within our church buildings. The mothers must emerge out of hibernation, arise, and come forth! Not just to be used as a babysitter in the nursery, but be allowed and released to flow as the Holy Spirit leads, as not to grieve His heart.

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30 ESV

It’s now time for women to step out of the old habitat and emerge into the glory realm. No more time to hibernate, but celebrate. The Lord is making His heart's desire well-known, as many are now turning their attention to the women. In order for the glory to fall and remain, the systems must change and make way for the women as well as for a fresh wind of His Spirit. Mama bears are coming out of the caves with a hunger to live in a habitat of supernatural glory. They are no longer satisfied with the norm, but desire to see the Lord move in a powerful way. They long to see Him feed the young with His fresh manna as they cross over into the habitable land that the Lord has promised. (Exodus 16)

“Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:31 NIV

The Lord showed me in August 2020, a vision of women arising out of the ashes and coming forth in one voice and with one sound. A war cry arose out of the women. Although it was written months ago in a blog post titled, “Out of the Ash,” I feel the word is now coming to pass.

Excerpt from Out of the Ash:

“Suddenly, it hit me. They were all women. I could tell they were from all over the world by the clothing they wore. A sound began to rise out of the dust that surrounded this ever growing crowd of women. It was one unison sound, but in many different languages. It was beautiful, yet powerful. It was a war cry!

‘The Lord goes out to fight like a warrior; He is ready and eager for battle. He gives a war cry, a battle shout; He shows His power against His enemies.’ Isaiah 42:13 GNT

All at once, they charged. They came to life out of the dust strong, not weak, and hit the ground running. It was like lions going after their prey. I stood watching this thinking it looked like something out of the Braveheart movie, but with all women.

Jesus turned to me and said, ‘Tell the men to make room for them.

As He spoke those words, I knew He was saying for men to step to the side–– not backwards or forwards. He wanted them to be side by side. “Make room for the women” was a warning and encouragement all wrapped up into one statement, like only He could do. These women were not here to take over, but to bring the power infused into them by the Lord Himself. He wanted me to tell the men to come alongside them and not discount them. Make room, because they are arising out of the ash.”

“And to the husbands, you are to demonstrate love for your wives with the same tender devotion that Christ demonstrated to us, His bride.” Ephesians 5:25 TPT

“Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves Me will obey My teaching. My Father will love them, and We will come to them and make Our home with them.” John 14:23 NIV

I see a fierceness now arising among the women emerging. I feel a massive wave and outcry rising up to obey the Lord at all costs and do nothing to grieve the Holy Spirit. The Mama bears are arising. Many are feeling an overwhelming instinct to protect what the Holy Spirit is doing in the body of Christ. Like protecting their child from harm, women are beginning to feel the stir to “protect” the atmosphere so the Holy Spirit can move and make His home in and among us.

“Deep calls to deep at the roar of Your waterfalls; all Your breakers and Your waves have gone over me. By day the Lord commands His steadfast love, and at night His song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.” Psalm 42:7-8 ESV

A passion is arising, with a deep calling out to deep, as a wave of His presence rolls in. Many are feeling the need to even protect their own spirits and their homes from anything that would hinder the Holy Spirit from dwelling and staying in their midst. This must happen first in the women personally (privately) and then it shall move corporately in places it is allowed to flow.

“Cast me not away from Your presence, and take not Your Holy Spirit from me.”

Psalm 51:11 ESV

Those that allow the Holy Spirit to teach them how to foster His presence in this hour will be used mightily in the coming days. Those who embrace the women that have been training in the secret place with the Lord and give them permission to care and foster a home for the Presence will see a massive wave of His Spirit hit as the mothers find their place alongside the fathers. The ones who embrace the women shall be greatly blessed. Those who open the doors for the mothers to arise shall watch the Holy Spirit pour out His floodgates and remain. Many will come into the Kingdom and be discipled as the mothers and fathers unite.

“Then the man—Adam—named his wife Eve, because she would be the mother of all who live.” Genesis 3:20 NLT

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19 ESV

Just as many in the Bible fiercely protected the Ark of the Covenant with a holy fear of the Lord, so many are feeling the draw to protect what the Holy Spirit is getting ready to pour out at all cost––ensuring that He is welcomed. If it took a company of people to protect what the Ark of the Covenant contained, then it will take a company to protect what is coming.

“But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.” Mark 3:29 ESV

My children have recently dubbed me a “spider monkey,” as anything that I feel grieves or blasphemes the Holy Spirit in or around me I jump on and attack. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, spider monkeys are large, extremely agile, swiftly moving monkeys that like to jump and hang on things from any angle. Those who are also feeling this “spider monkey” instinct and sensing the draw to protect and remove anything that blocks His flow need to pay close attention and understand that God is doing something in and around you. This overwhelming instinct to “guard” is being sent out by the Lord and it is vital you realize this sudden passion is from Him. Those who grab ahold of what He is pouring out shall stand in awe as they see a massive restoration revolution in their personal lives, homes, families, and in the body of Christ.

“Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him!” Psalm 33:8 ESV

I have an overwhelming holy fear of the Lord as I am instructed to tell you today that this instinct many women are feeling is not just emotions or imagination—it’s from the Lord. If you are feeling this, I encourage you to seek and abide in Him, allow Him to teach you how to yield to Him, and grab hold of what He is pouring out right now. Remember that the Holy Spirit is the only teacher you need as you emerge out of hibernation to protect what is being birthed.

“But the anointing that you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in Him.”

1 John 2:27 ESV

Just like how a mother becomes agitated after a doorbell ring wakes the baby she worked so hard to finally get to sleep, so the fierceness of mothers emerging and the agitation of waking the baby is coming forth. A mama bear company arising that will not be happy if you wake the baby they worked so hard to comfort and put to rest. Women and men will begin to rise with such an overwhelming passion to stop anything from even getting close to ringing the bell and disturb what the Lord is doing in their midst. It’s time for the spider monkey, mama bear company to emerge.

When my children were little, I put a do not disturb sign on the front door so no one would wake them. I would turn my phone volume down and shut every loud thing off so they could rest comfortably and for as long as their growing little bodies needed. I protected their time of growth and peace. In that same way, I and many others now have a sudden overwhelming feeling to protect the move of the Holy Spirit that we are on the brink of. The Lord is needing mothers and fathers to become bold and fight together as one to protect what the Holy Spirit is going to pour out and grow in our midst.

“And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.” Matthew 12:32 ESV

It’s time to prepare, make room, and learn to maneuver this fierceness the Lord is calling forth in many. What are we willing to do to protect and not grieve the Holy Spirit in our lives, homes, and ministries? Are we willing to give up control and set a strong boundary line of safety around the presence of the Lord? Are we willing to not care what anyone thinks or feels other than the Lord in our church buildings? The true fear of the Lord is protecting His presence from detestable things at all cost so He will not withdraw.

“Therefore, as I live, declares the Lord GOD, surely, because you have defiled My sanctuary with all your detestable things and with all your abominations, therefore I will withdraw.” Ezekiel 5:11 ESV

“So they shall fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; for He will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of the Lord drives.” Isaiah 59:19 ESV

If this is you and you feel a holy fear of the Lord rising within you, I call you forth to come out of the dark cave of hibernation and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you in the secret place. Out of the hidden place with Jesus is where the revelation, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of how to protect and foster His presence will come as the new mighty rushing wave of His glory sweeps across our land. Prepare and get ready. The mama bears are about to burst forth in one voice to protect the move of the Spirit with a fierceness many have never seen. Make way for them! They are emerging out of hibernation to birth a new move!

“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see Me anymore, but you will see Me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you. Whoever has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I too will love them and show Myself to them.” John 14:16-21 NIV
