June 2020
A phone began ringing loudly over and over. I picked up my phone but it was not ringing. I searched to find which of my children’s phones had an incoming call. None of our phones were ringing.
The ring tone sounded like what my kids would call an “old timey” rotary phone. Anyone who has had one of these phones knows what sound I am describing. It didn’t sound like a digital tone but a sound we associate to the phones firmly connected to the wall of our homes back in the day before cell service. We called them “home phones”. Once I figured out the ringing was in the spirit realm, I stopped and hit my knees.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.”
(John 10:27-28 KJV)
I was taken in a vision to a baseball field. Anyone who knows me, knows that I know nothing about baseball. Basketball is my sport of choice. So any baseball knowledge and lingo had to come from the Spirit of God.
“And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship”
(Exodus 31:3)
I was standing barefoot in the hot sandy dirt (I didn’t even recall that baseball fields had sand) looking at all the bases. Beside me stood Jesus.
Jesus spoke to me saying,
“I am calling for a home run,”
And ‘home’ was emphasized. He continued,
“I need people to be on home base before the final trumpet call. It is vital all be ready and on home plate no longer running through the bases, but grounded and steady, ready for the next play. I’m calling the plays and I need all My players back on home base so I can use them. I have called them out of the dugout, no longer to hide, but to come forth and stand by Me and for Me on home base plate. I shall have their voice be heard loud and wide over all the speakers of the lands for it is now time for the next play. But tell them to stand on home base ready for my next call.”
I saw people getting ready to sing the anthem over the sound system, but instead they began to speak the words of the Lord that they were given.
Jesus continued to speak saying,
“Call them out of the shadow to stand with Me. Tell them I need them for the hour is now. I am sounding the trumpet. It's go time. I will say charge and I need my team ready. Do you hear the call? Tell them to listen, for I am calling them out to stand with Me. It has seemed long and hot, but now I need them on home base. Rally the team and prepare, for I shall soon reveal the next play. It will happen soon. I am waiting for the team to land on home and be ready, for I am waiting and calling them forth in this hour to rise and walk with Me. Do not back down in fear or intimidation. Those that try to silence or put My chosen back on first base shall be wiped out of the game.”
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
(Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV)
“I am moving forward and raising up voices no man has heard yet, but will know it is Me speaking through them. I have called those who have been hidden with Me and have walked the bases and finished to stand by Me in this hour. They shall rise and those who listen and take heed will also soar over many obstacles coming their way.”
“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
(Isaiah 40:31 NIV)
“Do not look down on the ones coming out of hiding or try to have them start on first base, I tell you because they have finished well and I have seen them fit to make it to home base.”
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.”
(John 15:6 ESV)
“If you put them on first base, you shall not have My blessing. Those who see the called ones and give them a voice for Me to speak through shall be greatly blessed and My power shall move through them.”
“Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
(Jeremiah 1:4-5 ESV)
“I am calling and they that are waiting for Me shall hear and answer the call and walk in greater power than what this earth has seen because they walk with Me and for Me and desire only Me. Watch, for they are coming out of the shade of the dugout to take a stand by Me. You shall now see their face, but you will only see My name written on their heart.”
“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the Lord.”
(Song of Solomon 8:6 ESV)
“Do not look down on them because they are young in your eyes, because they are ready far beyond what you can see with your mortal eyes. See with your spirit and you shall know they are Mine.”
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’”
(Isaiah 6:8 ESV)
I saw people in the stands and on the opposing team try to make these voices start over and looked at them as if they had no right to be advancing at the rate they excelled. They tried to put them back up to bat and run to first base instead of remaining on home plate. Like a senior in highschool being put back in kindergarten, so the so-called ‘mature’ Christians were trying to hold back the ones who made it home.
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
(I Timothy 4:12 NIV)
This was a warning that shook me to my core. They shall not be stopped or held back a moment longer. The Lord is raising up a people He can use in this next season. They may not sound or look like others think they should, but when they speak, you will hear the voice of the Lord rise out of them.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
(John 10:27 ESV)
They have made it through spring training and gained the strength and confidence to step up and out. Watch and listen to the rising voices in this season. New faces to proclaim His voice to the nations as the new wine begins to flow.
“Neither is new wine put into old wineskins. If it is, the skins burst and the wine is spilled and the skins are destroyed. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved.”
(Matthew 9:17 ESV)
This past winter, the Lord took me on a mission to Jacob’s Field baseball complex in Ohio, which is now known as Progressive Field. While I stood in the mounds of freezing cold snow to declare and release His power, I saw a vision of a ladder coming down from Heaven at the point of the diamond. I now know this point as “home plate.” As the ladder descended, a gust of wind knocked me back and I almost fell over. Those with me felt the same forceful gust of wind as the Holy Spirit surrounded and touched them.
“He (Jacob) dreamed that he saw a stairway reaching from earth to heaven, with angels going up and coming down on it.”
(Genesis 28:12 GNT)
Like I said, I don’t know much about baseball, but in this open vision at Jacob’s Field I knew the Lord was highlighting the Summer season for this ladder to descend as an opening into the Heavens.
“For as the rain and the snow come down from Heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
(Isaiah 55:10-11 ESV)
After having this recent encounter about the home plate and being reminded of the Jacob’s Field mission, I did some baseball research. To my surprise, I came across a post from Bonnie Jones about her late husband Bob Jones' prophecy, “World Champions for Christ.” Bonnie explains on her website, Did You Learn to Love, about Bob’s encounter. I was amazed reading this prophecy for the first time. Here is a small portion of the experience:
Bob says,
“A couple of weeks ago I was in a high level trance, one of the highest ones that I have known since last year. The Lord came and took me to a field and it had been covered with snow for two years. We waded out onto this field and He told me to uncover a place where He pointed. So I began to rake the snow away from the place that He said. And I saw that it was a baseball plate. I didn’t rake away all of the snow but I just saw that it was a baseball plate. And He said, “That’s all I want you to see because this is home base. Now the sun will melt the snow off of the rest of it. You did all I want you to do right now. I just wanted to show you that this is home base.”
Bob continued,
“I think that snow or trouble I saw in the trance is long gone. And I believe spring is getting ready to spring forth in the church. I believe you’re getting ready to hear the songbirds or praisers on a level like we’ve never heard them before. I believe the long hard winter is over but the trouble in the world is only beginning. I believe we are in a time of tremendous change and you’re going to see Christians with a smile on their face because they’re going to be world champions. Get ready because you’re a winner and you’re getting ready to be revealed worldwide this coming year.”
Bonnie Jones explained,
“Although Bob was only required to brush away some of the snow to reveal home base, (our soul) he was told that the SON would melt the rest of it away. I believe it has taken this time for the church to come back to the basics of love through repentance and prayer. God is Love and when we allow Him to have His perfect work in us, it will melt (or burn) away all of the dross. Then we, as a body of believers, can come forth as the dread champions He created us to be.”

I feel that “World Champions” are coming out of the dugout and will be revealed as earth shakers and nation changers. These voices will be driven and guided solely by the Holy Spirit and nothing and no one shall stop them. As I have shared, many will not accept their voice or take heed to what they are saying. My heart breaks at the thought. That will be a big mistake and those who do not embrace the new shall pay a great price. Even so, I call these voices forth to rise up and head to “Home Base!”
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:19-20 ESV)
According to academic.mu.edu, baseball is the national pastime, the American sport, one cherished and loved by an entire nation. In many ways, it symbolizes not only America, but the American spirit. Its creation was seen as an accomplishment of a uniquely American nature. As America evolved, so did the sport of baseball.
The dictionary says that the Home Plate is a five-sided, flat, white rubber base next to which the batter stands and over which the pitcher must throw the ball for a strike. A runner must touch home plate after having reached all the other bases to score a run.
In baseball, the home plate serves two purposes. It's where the player steps up to bat and the final base a runner must touch in order to score a run. And it is also used by the umpire to determine the width of the strike zone when the pitcher delivers the ball.
Home plate was formally designated as "home base" in the rules. It is thought to be so because originally it was a round metal plate, thus referred to as home plate.
