It's Really Real

“You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Psalm 16:11 ESV
As we spring forth into a new season, so shall many go from planning for their destiny to standing in it. Many will now begin to walk out God’s will in the earth. The other morning, the Lord woke me up and said in a very excited tone,
“It’s real, really real!”
He was referring to a long awaited promise that I had been holding before Him. I also instantly knew that what He spoke was not only for me, but for many. He was telling me that things He had shown and spoken to me and others was in fact Him. He explained in detail that some have begun to doubt and think it was their imagination. He wanted me to know that these promises many have been standing on were not made up, but in fact more real than real and soon will manifest. What is in motion in many of our lives is not only real, but more real than we can imagine––really real. I feel we are about to find out just how real they truly are.

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19 ESV
The Lord showed me a memory from when I had small children to further explain this concept. I watched as the memory played like a movie before my eyes. I was planning a Disney trip and had made a countdown calendar for my kiddos. They were so excited everyday to pull another number off the calendar as the day to arrive in Disney got closer and closer. The excitement on their faces with each passing day made all the detailed work of booking hotels, transportation, restaurants, and fast passes worth it.
But, the week and days leading up to the vacation were always the hardest. The kids were so excited that they could not sleep and I was way overloaded with last minute packing and details. A busy momma and whiny youngins with no sleep makes one second guess if they would ever plan a big trip again. Honestly, it didn’t seem worth it and if I could’ve canceled, I would have. I was tired and the last thing I wanted to do in that moment was pull another number off the countdown calendar or hear about Mickey Mouse one more time. But, the looks on the kids faces kept me going. The trip was going to come if I was ready or not. It was really going to happen as the time ticked on.
The day finally arrived to enter into Magic Kingdom. As my very excited children walked through the gates and looked up at Cinderella's castle, the looks on their faces in that moment made every detail of planning and no sleep worth it. It was a moment in time that was not only real, but really real. I was no longer planning the event, but standing in the moment in time I had worked so hard to get to. The look on the children’s faces didn’t disappoint. I was really there and it was more than real––it was now really real.
We often went to Disney throughout the years and on many trips, I missed it––I missed the moment that made it all worth it. The moment the kids' faces lit up as they looked at the castle. I was either busy, fighting the crowd, or too exhausted to catch that one split second of awe and wonder of the trip now becoming really real; the moment that takes you from planning to standing. I went from dreaming about being there and how much fun we would have to actually being able to tangibly be there in person. But, if I was distracted, I could miss the moment and not be present to capture and enjoy the “really” out of the real moment. Although, on many trips I missed it, on others I was able to hit the mark and soak it all in.
“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:14 KJV
Just like Abraham and Sarah had a hard time awaiting the promise of a child and almost missed the mark, so we must not give up too soon or we will be in danger of missing God’s best for our lives. Abraham and Sarah began to doubt and grew impatient while waiting for the child God had promised them. So, they took matters into their own hands and rushed the process. They, like us many times, felt the need to help God. Because of their impatience, Abraham had a child with another woman. They did not wait for God’s best and gave up too soon. They settled for something real instead of waiting for the “really” real that God had told them was on the way. Abraham had a son named Ishmeal that was not the child God had promised. Although the Lord still blessed him with the promised son, Issac, I’m sure they had a much bumpier road than if they would’ve waited for God to fulfill His perfect Word.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
Psalm 27:14 ESV
“And Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the time of which God had spoken to him.” Genesis 21:2 ESV
In Genesis 16, Sarah convinced Abraham to rush the process and fall for second best to God’s plan. In Genesis 3, Eve convinced Adam to sin in the garden which caused separation from God. In Numbers 14, the Israelites delayed their transition into the promised land by having a bad attitude in the waiting. Therefore, we must not move from our position or be easily convinced to take the back up plan while waiting for God’s will to manifest. We must remain grounded in the Word and know that what He has spoken is true. It is important to surround yourself with people who call you higher in your faith and believe for the impossible. Friends that will support you and not convince you to give up before your promise manifests. Find a tribe that is like-minded, that speaks the same Kingdom language, has the same goals, and watch the impossible things become possible in your midst.
“And the Lord said, ‘Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.’” Genesis 11:6 ESV
Oftentimes, the liar will send people to get us off course or act as a decoy in our lives in hopes we will fall for something that is second best to His promise. The liar waits for you to get weary or busy in well doing and prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. At just the right time, he pounces. If successful, an Ishmeal could be produced in your life. This is why it is so important not to give in, back down, or settle for second best when contending for long awaited promises or things in your life that seem outrageously impossible.
“Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 TPT
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 ESV
Some supernatural encounters may be so grand that they leave you wondering how they could possibly be true. But, it is vital that you do not doubt those supernatural dreams and stay alert as you wait for them to manifest. Rest when needed in the secret place, but get back up and hang tight to what the Lord has shown you. Don’t back down in fear or be held back by insecurity, rejection, or doubt. Allow the walls around your heart to fall so you can be fully present and recognize God doing the impossible before your eyes.
“For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37 ESV
I feel many have been holding onto a promise for a very long time. You have been planning, hoping, and waiting so long that you have grown weary with a sick heart and even began doubting if you heard God correctly. I am here to tell you not to give up. Keep pulling off those days on your countdown calendar and press on. Soon, many supernatural dreams, visions, and encounters shall not only become real, but really real–a reality.
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13:12 AMP
Many promises will now become tangible and manifest in the earthly realm as it was shown in Heaven. Many will begin to receive confirmation that will feel like a dream when it comes into the natural. As that moment in time comes, try not to miss it. When the real becomes tangible, don’t miss the awe and wonder. Many times, we are so caught up in other things or have our walls up that we miss capturing the moment as it passes quickly by. It’s vital we stay present and in the moment so we are fully aware when the reality of what we have been contending for stands before us. As we look eye to eye with our promise, it is God’s destiny being fulfilled in our lives.
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Genesis 6:9 ESV
If we miss it, the reality is still real and the promise will still be fulfilled, but the awe and wonder that makes it all worth it disappears until next time. It’s the awe and wonder that takes a real moment and turns it into a “really” real reality. As these really real moments begin to happen for many, we must remember to give praise to the Lord as hope deferred becomes a thing of the past.
“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17 ESV

Those contending and seeking confirmation to long awaited promises, hold tight, because it is coming. In a moment, everything will change and become clear. It will suddenly go from being real to being a reality. Try and pay close attention so you do not miss the moment in time. Heaven shall collide with earth as things spoken long ago suddenly will be made known. It may not even feel real as this happens, but it’s more than real––it’s really, really real. Heaven’s designs, blueprints, and plans are now unfolding into the earthly realm for His purpose and glory. Watch for confirmation in the coming days, weeks, and months ahead to long awaited supernatural dreams. It is now time to go from planning for your destiny to standing in the promises of God.
“Long ago I prophesied things that would happen. I issued decrees and made them known. Then suddenly, I acted and made them happen.” Isaiah 48:3 TPT
“God isn’t late with His promise as some measure lateness.” 2 Peter 3:8-9 MSG
