December 2020

The great conjunction of 2020, also known as the Christmas Star, has caught the attention of the world. It is a prophetic sign for all to see, a promise of hope, the conjunction of Heaven with earth, and so much more. I don’t watch the news or stay up on current events, so when I heard about the star, my spirit leapt like a baby kicking from inside the womb.

“For we saw His star when it rose and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:2 ESV

Over the past few weeks, I have been asking the Lord what He was saying to me concerning the up-and-coming great star conjunction—two planets aligning to shine as one. In my spirit I could feel the draw, the two coming closer as I awaited the Lord’s response and revelation.

“I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one {and} perfectly united, that the world may know {and} [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.” John 17:23 AMP

And the two will become one. So they are no longer two, but one.” Mark 10:8 GNT

During the Christmas holiday, I saw a sign hanging that said “MERRY CHRISTMAS.” As I looked at the sign, the letters began to move and change like something out of a movie. I stared in amazement and looked around to see if anyone else saw what was happening. It was truly a “sign” that made me wonder.

So Jesus said to him, 'Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.'” John 4:48 ESV

As the letters stopped moving, in my spirit, I saw that the sign now read:

"MARRY CHRIST AT MASS"

I understood what He was telling me—He wanted to ask me to marry Him at a specific day and time. He was asking me to “Save the Date.” I knew it had something to do with the occurrence of the Christmas Star, but I didn’t yet have the full revelation.

I was awoken out of a deep sleep early Christmas Eve morning. I heard the voice of the Lord say to me, “I will meet you tonight at midnight. See the star.” The emotions of shock and awe, fear and love, excitement and joy flooded me all at once as His words sunk down into the fibers of my being. He wanted to meet me! I was then reminded of the “Marry Christ at Mass” sign. So, I got up and researched if there was a midnight mass service near me. To my surprise I found that midnight mass on Christmas Eve was a real thing.

In my early years, I was brought up Baptist and then Assemblies of God as a teen, and I’m now a very spirit filled/led, Non-Denominational Jesus lover. Therefore, I honestly had no idea what “mass” entailed until after this encounter. According to britannica.com, mass is the central act of worship of the Roman Catholic Church, which culminates in celebration of the sacrament of the Eucharist. The term, mass, is derived from the ecclesiastical Latin formula for the dismissal of the congregation: Ite, missa est (“Go, it is the sending [dismissal]”). To my delight, I found that mass is a type of SENDING.

“In many Western Christian traditions Midnight Mass is the first liturgy of Christmastide that is celebrated on the night of Christmas Eve, traditionally beginning at midnight when Christmas Eve gives way to Christmas Day. This popular Christmas custom is a jubilant celebration of the Mass or Service of Worship in honour of the Nativity of Jesus; even many of those Christian denominations that do not regularly employ the word "Mass" uniquely use the term "Midnight Mass" for their Christmas Eve liturgy as it includes the celebration of Holy Communion” (Wikipedia).

I discovered that midnight Christmas mass is a lot like the candle light services I grew up attending, except it is traditionally held at midnight as Christmas Eve becomes Christmas Day. They do this because it is believed by some that Jesus was born at midnight. Midnight mass was usually designated a solemn High mass, meaning there was a lot of singing and incense and it lasted well into the early morning hours.

Pope Francis wrote about Christmas Eve mass and said,

“It is the encounter, Jesus. God has always sought out his people, led them, looked after them and promised to always be close to them. The Book of Deuteronomy says that God walks with us; he takes us by the hand like a father does with his child. This is a beautiful thing. Christmas is God’s meeting with his people. It is also a consolation, a mystery of consolation. Many times after the midnight mass I have spent an hour or so alone in the chapel before celebrating the dawn mass. I experienced a profound feeling of consolation and peace. For me Christmas has always been about this; contemplating the visit of God to his people” (Wikiquote).

So, according to Pope Francis, Christmas Eve mass is a time to encounter Jesus and a time God meets His children.

Tears flooded my eyes as the revelation and understanding began to take form (That the Lord was asking me to meet Him at midnight). I began to research the star as He had instructed. The first thing that popped up on my search bar was an image supposedly taken from a space station. I don’t know if the image is real or not, but either way, the Lord was speaking to me through the photo. The image clearly shows the form of a diamond engagement ring in the midst of the two planets colliding as one. The light as the two planets joined, formed a diamond engagement ring of light. Even if the photo is stock footage, the “engagement ring” is what the Lord wanted me to see. He was asking me to marry Him at midnight on Christmas Eve. I eagerly locked away and awaited for Him. As the clock struck midnight, He came.

I feel from now until the beginning of the New Year, we are in a window of time that He is asking us to” Marry Him,” come away with Him, and encounter Him in a new and fresh way. Old things can not carry into the new year and He is offering a fresh start. Old wineskins cannot hold the new wine that is being poured out.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corintians 5:17 ESV

“So that He might present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:27 ESV

He is looking for a Bride and is wanting us to say YES to Him–to become His fiance. This is the year of the engagement.

I feel we are crossing over into a whole new season, not just entering a new year. This past season, we have had the opportunity to grow in our intimacy and friendship with the Lord. Many have found the importance of deeply loving and knowing Him; setting a firm foundation on the Rock. What a special and wonderful season it has been dating Him, loving Him, and getting to know Him as a companion and friend.

We have watched as the Bride has awoken from a deep sleep and is beginning to stretch her legs and find her voice. The remnant is now emerging and arising out of the shadows. What an exciting time to be alive! But, now we are crossing over yet again into something new. I can feel it, can you?

“The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come.' And let the one who hears say, 'Come.' And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.” Revelation 22:17 ESV

I feel that this is the year of the engagement. As the Bride stands, takes her rightful place, and says YES, the angel armies will come together and rise in power from on High. The Bride has awoken this past year and is arising. The Bride shall now stand and take her authority with power. As she stands in this next season, the glory of the Lord shall shine so bright that the whole earth will shake.

“May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in His works—He who looks at the earth, and it trembles, who touches the mountains, and they smoke.” Psalm 104:31-32 NIV

From the beginning of God’s Word to the end, the theme remains–He is preparing a Bride for His Son, Jesus. A dating relationship looks very different from being engaged to marry someone. With an engagement, there comes a greater sense of security in the relationship.

An engagement means that you’ve made a deep commitment as the preparations for the wedding celebration begin. In this season, the Lord is looking for a fiance–a people that will begin to know Him in a deeper, even more intimate, committed way, and that will begin the wedding preparations.

As the Christmas star shone bright in the sky, I feel an invitation has gone out all across the world. An invitation for us to be in a committed union with Him and prepare the way for His coming.

I thought I knew the Lord as my Husband all these years, but I was shown that this new engagement season will look like and I knew not many have yet entered this type of commitment with Him. What we thought we knew as a husband/wife type relationship was only dating. But, something has opened up in the Heavens. Those who say “yes” can now enter as His fiancé instead of just a friend. No words can describe the deeper level of knowing Him that I feel is coming—a new level in knowing our identity as His Bride.

He is now asking us to “Marry Him,” be His fiancé, and to wear His ring of love; the engagement star ring. He is now marking His Bride with a ring of His light. As we align and join together, His light shall flood out from us. As we come into agreement with Heaven in obedience as ONE, the Kingdom of Heaven shall come down to see His will and design come to pass.

“Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” Matthew 6:10 NIV

Those who say “yes” to His proposal will hear the new sound and shall shine with a light that will be visible for others to see. The light is the engagement ring—His light and love flooding from His marked ones as His Kingdom collides with earth. (Revelation 14:1-4)

The sound many are hearing is the echoing question going out, “Will you marry Me?”

Will you say “yes”?
