The Hills Are Alive

In a recent visit to Asheville, North Carolina, the Lord showed me a scene from the movie, The Sound of Music. It was the part where Julie Andrews sings, “The hills are alive with the sound of music.”

“For you will go out [from exile] with joy and be led forth [by the Lord Himself] with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands”

(Isaiah 55:12 AMP)

I was then shown a person’s ear that had holes on it near the ear canal opening. The holes were in size order from small to large in a curved line downward that made a crescent shape. I then saw Jesus blow on the top of this person's head. He put His fingers over the holes near the ear as if He was playing an instrument. As He blew and moved His fingers over the holes a beautiful sound came out of the person’s mouth.

“Cry aloud; do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet…”

(Isaiah 58:1 ESV)

It looked like Jesus was blowing a trumpet, but instead, it was a person's ear. Jesus was the trumpeter creating a new sound. As the sound came out of the person's mouth, the hills came alive and moved like fluid. It was as if the mountains melted like wax to form a sea of beautiful green liquid.

“The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.”

(Psalm 97:5 NLT)

In that moment, I knew by the Spirit that the new sound coming from the trumpet ear would awaken the hills and cause them to move. Any obstacles in the way would crumble as the new sound was released.

“Blow a trumpet in Zion; sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming; it is near…”

(Joel 2:1 ESV)

“Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.”

(Matthew 21:21 NIV)

Those who are listening will hear the sound and open their mouth to release it. As they release the new sound from Heaven, it will cause hills to come alive and obstacles to fade away and move. Mountains will melt into puddles at their feet by the sound of the trumpeter.

“The mountains quake before Him and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at His presence, the world and all who live in it.”

(Nahum 1:5 NIV)

This is the time to tune your hearing to the voice of Jesus. Listen and obey. Allow Him to blow in and through you like never before. As you yield to the wind of the Spirit, your voice will awaken and move mountains. It is not a time to be silent or say what “you” want or think, but to do and say only what you see and hear the Father do and say. Let Him blow in you and fill your mouth with His words and sound.

“For the LORD is the one who shaped the mountains, stirs up the winds, and reveals His thoughts to mankind. He turns the light of dawn into darkness and treads on the heights of the earth. The LORD God of Heaven’s Armies is His name!”

(Amos 4:13 NLT)

He is pouring out a fresh wind and those listening will become a trumpet the Lord can use. A fresh sound is now being released. Look up, for the time is now! He needs your voice. He needs you to be tuned into Him. He is looking for a bride to say, “Come!”

“The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.”

(Revelation 22:17 NLT)

Like a tuning fork, He is making a sound to see who will align and get in step with His fresh wind. These new winds will blow fire. Fire that will never be put out. The sound that is being released is so powerful it will set fire to those listening. Fire to shake and change nations.

“Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them.”

(Acts 2:2-3 NLT)

This is a sound like no other. One we have yet to hear or see. Like sound vibrations, the fresh wind that is blowing will reverberate beyond normal sound waves. It will be a sound like a dog whistle, silent, but powerful and will cause many to turn to Jesus.

We must catch this wave and not miss it. It is extremely important we tune into the frequency of Heaven now and in these coming weeks. We must teach our children to listen for the sound. We must catch the wave; the sound wave of Heaven. It’s the wave, the wave of His hand, as He parts the seas for us to cross over. The wind blowing shall dry the land for us to walk on. Catch the wave and ride past any obstacles in the way. We are crossing over! It is now go-time and we must not miss the sound of Heaven.

“The LORD will make a dry path through the gulf of the Red Sea. He will wave his hand over the Euphrates River, sending a mighty wind to divide it into seven streams so it can easily be crossed on foot.”

(Isaiah 11:15 NLT)

This new sound will shake, it will break, and it will awake all in it’s path. May the sound of Heaven be released in and through those who turn their ear to the Father in this hour. May the sound breathe life into the hills and awaken the sleeping spirits. Arise and awaken hills as the sound erupts with praise.

“...When the trumpet sounds a long blast, they shall come up to the mountain.”

(Exodus 19:13 ESV)

Those who speak the words of the Lord through the new wind of His Spirit will unleash the fire of His goodness and glory all across the land. Fires that will prune, purge, and purify His bride. Let the trumpets blast open our mouths to release the sound of Heaven. The hills are now coming to life with the sound of His music.

“In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it.”

(Micah 4:1 NIV)
